The Bill Hogan Community Art Gallery
“The most powerful force in the world is love…” This truism of Wheeling artist, the late Bill Hogan, lies behind the crux of our decision to dedicate our gallery space to him. He did not favor one person over another in his art. He saw the unique light within us all and brought it out through a steady hand and an eye for the human form.
The Bill Hogan Community Gallery has featured an array of local artists’ work.
It is a space that aims to do what Bill achieved over his years as an extraordinary, life-giving person: to bring light to art that is often overlooked and to highlight the beauty that exists within places and people where society often tells us beauty cannot exist.
“With the support from The Mother Jones Center, we have been able to serve our communities better than ever.”
— Gabrielle Marshall
